Raw stuff - Celery

In European herbal medicine celery is used for arthritis and rheumatism problems - when joints, muscles and tendons are sore, swollen, stiff.
Celery seeds contain a volatile oil which stimulates the clearance of waste products by the kidney - especioally the elimination of urates that often cause inflamation and stiffness of muscular-skeletal system. Celery seeds are traditionally used to ease the morning joint and muscle stiffness and pain, as well as for clearing fluid accumulation linked to arthritis. It also helps in relieving symptoms of gout.

The juice from stem and leaf aids detoxification and weight loss, and this juice is suitable for people with a tendency to fluid retention. 
Both juice and seeds of celery stimulate urine flow and can prove useful as part of an approach to treating high blood pressure.

One more: celery seeds relieve wind and bloating.

Raw stuff - Carrots

Carrots are very rich in betacarotene - one supplies enough for a day.
Anti-cancer properties, especially of the bowel. Pureed helps for infant diarrhoea, when juiced, it helps with liver problems. It contains vitamins C and E, which ease circulatory disease, chest infections and skin and eye problems.
Eat lightly cooked carrots two or three times a week.

Raw stuff - Cabbage

Cabbage contains iron, chlorophyll, vitamin C, sulphur compounds and healing mucilaginous substances. Powerfully anti-cancer, vital for anaemia, stomach inflammation and ulcers. Cabbage protects against stress, infection and heart disease. Best eaten slightly steamed

Raw stuff - Apples

The vitamins, minerals and vitamins from raw food can be better used by body in metabolic processes than the equivalent sinthetic ones (in the form of pills).

Apples with their content of pectin help in eliminating the heavy metals found in polluted environments. Pectin and vitamin C in apples reduce cholesterol. Malic and tartaric acids relieve indigestion and break down fats. Two apples a day help with arthritis, rheumatism and gout. When grated, apples stop diarrhoea. 

Raw stuff - Bananas

Lots of things in a banana: potassium, zinc, iron, folic acid, calcium, vitamin B6, fibres. Good for digestion and menstrual difficulties; athletes love it.
Good for young and old. With apples, rice and dry toast it makes up the BRAT diet, the ideal treatment for sickness and diarrhoea.

Raw stuff - Onions

Raw onions protect the circulatory system and act as powerful antibiotic. Good for chest, stomach and urinary infections. Have diuretic activity which help with arthritis, rheumatism and gout.
Research shows that half of raw onion a day raises the amount of good fats in the blood by 30%.

Raw stuff - Oily fish

The best source of the essential fatty acids, those you need to produce new healthy efficient cells of all types. These essential fatty acids are badly needed during pregnancy, breastfeeding if you really want your children's brain to develop properly.
When you get older you dont stop eating oily fish, because the essential fatty acids maintain brain function, and help in treating dyslexia, or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
They are the most important source of vitamin D - essential for strong bones and many hormone functions. Oily fish are great for the relief of arthritis.
